Crispy Cucumber Salad with Ginger and Sesame Oil

    Cut 2 cucumbers into matchstick-sized pieces (about 5cm long) and sprinkle with 1/2 tsp salt. Let sit for at least 10 minutes, then discard the excess water that comes out.

    Julienne 1 clove of fresh ginger.

    Place the drained cucumber and ginger into a plastic bag along with 1 tsp sesame oil and massage well together. This method is convenient and reduces dishwashing!

    Chill the cucumber salad in the refrigerator before serving.

Tips

The ginger and sesame oil shine when added after the salt has been applied for more than 10 minutes, bringing out the best flavor of the cucumber. If you're in a hurry, you can use less salt and add the sesame oil right away. Adjust the salt amount based on the size of your cucumbers.
