

This beef and cabbage stir-fry is leveled up with oyster sauce! The sweet and savory sauce is so addictive—you won't be able to stop eating it with rice!
Ingredients
3 servings- Beef300-350g
- Red bell pepper1/2 (optional)
- Cabbage1/2 head
- ★Sake (for marinating)2 tbsp
- ★Cornstarch2 tbsp
- ★Salt and peppera pinch
- ★Soy sauce3 tbsp
- ★Sugar3 tbsp
- ★Oyster sauce1 tbsp
- ★Sake (for sauce)1 tbsp
- ★Grated ginger1 tsp

Cut 300-350g of beef into bite-sized pieces. Rub with ★2 tbsp sake, ★2 tbsp cornstarch, and ★a pinch of salt and pepper to marinate.

Cut 1/2 head of cabbage into bite-sized pieces and cut 1/2 red bell pepper into rough chunks.

Heat oil in a frying pan over high heat. Add cabbage and bell pepper, sprinkle with a little salt, and stir-fry until lightly softened. Remove from the pan.

Add more oil to the same pan and stir-fry the marinated beef over high heat until browned and cooked through.

Return the cooked cabbage and bell pepper to the pan. Add ★3 tbsp soy sauce, ★3 tbsp sugar, ★1 tbsp oyster sauce, ★1 tbsp sake, ★1 tsp grated ginger, and ★1 tsp grated garlic. Stir-fry over high heat, coating everything well and reducing the sauce.

Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with parsley or black pepper as desired. Serve.
Tips
Using yakiniku-style beef or beef harami will bring out even more umami flavor.
