

This sesame-dressed komatsuna is lightly sweetened, making it perfect even for kids who aren't big veggie eaters! It's ideal for bento boxes and you won't be able to stop eating it!
Ingredients
2 servings- Japanese mustard greens (komatsuna)1 bunch
- Roasted sesame seeds3 tbsp
- ★Sugar1 tbsp minus 1 tsp
- ★Dark soy sauce2 tsp plus 1 tsp
- ★Salta pinch

Wash the komatsuna bunch thoroughly under water to remove any dirt. Bring a pot of water to a boil and add a pinch of salt. Place the komatsuna in root-end first and blanch briefly until just tender.

Transfer the blanched komatsuna to cold water, then drain and squeeze out excess water firmly. Cut off the root ends and cut the greens into 5cm pieces.

Place 3 tbsp of roasted sesame seeds in a mortar and grind well. Add the ★ seasonings and mix together.

Add the komatsuna to the mortar, breaking it apart gently, and mix until everything is well coated. Serve immediately.
Tips
You don't need to grind the roasted sesame seeds yourself. You can use store-bought ground sesame for a quick and easy finish.
