Easy Morning Pan-Rest Toast

    Mix 1 cup all-purpose flour and 1 cup water together to create a batter with a slightly thick consistency, similar to pancake batter.

    Spread 1 tsp mayonnaise on a non-stick frying pan, arrange 3 ham slices, then pour the batter over it and cook until golden brown on one side.

    Top with 3 slices of melting cheese, flip and cook the other side until golden brown, then fold in half and serve.

    Add ketchup to taste if desired.

Tips

If using a non-stick frying pan, you may skip the mayonnaise as it will brown easily on its own. Since this recipe uses no eggs or margarine, it's a lower-calorie option. The saltiness from the ham and cheese is enough seasoning, so you can enjoy it simply on its own.
