Ingredients

3 servings
  • Bread flour200g
  • Salt4g
  • Olive oiljust under 1 tbsp
  • Water105g
  • Toppings of your choiceto taste
  • ★Canned tomatoes1 can
  • ★Salt1/2 tsp
  • ★Olive oil1 tsp
  • ★Oregano & basil (dried)1/2 tsp each
  • ★Garlic (powder)1/2 tsp
Allergens
wheat

Directions

70 min
  1. 1

Add bread flour (200g), salt (4g), and water (105g) to a bowl and mix well with chopsticks.

  2. 2

Once the dough starts to come together, add just under 1 tbsp of olive oil and knead thoroughly by hand.

  3. 3

When the dough becomes reasonably smooth, let it rest for at least 30 minutes. (The surface may look rough at first, but it will smooth out as it rests.)

  4. 4

Make the pizza sauce: add all the ★ ingredients to a saucepan and simmer over low heat until the excess moisture has evaporated. Set aside to cool.

  5. 5

Cut the rested dough into 3 equal portions. Stretch one portion into a circle about 20cm in diameter. Spread the pizza sauce over it and top with your desired toppings to taste.

  6. 6

Bake in an oven preheated to 230℃ for 10–12 minutes.

  7. 7

For an extra crispy crust, set the preheat temperature about 20℃ higher and preheat the baking tray along with the oven.

Tips

You can use other oils in place of olive oil. Using chopsticks to mix the dough at first keeps your hands clean and is highly recommended. If the room temperature is high, store the dough in the refrigerator while it rests. About half of the pizza sauce will be left over, and it can be frozen for later use.
