Ingredients
3 servings- Bread flour200g
- Water105g
- Canned tomatoes1 can
- Toppings of your choiceto taste
- ★Salt4g (for dough) + 1/2 tsp (for sauce)
- ★Olive oiljust under 1 tbsp (for dough) + 1 tsp (for sauce)
- ★Oregano and basil (dried)1/2 tsp each
- ★Garlic powder1/2 tsp
Directions
50 min- 1
In a bowl, combine 200g bread flour, 4g salt, and 105g water. Mix well with chopsticks or a fork.
- 2
Once the dough starts coming together, add just under 1 tbsp olive oil and knead by hand until the dough becomes smooth.
- 3
When the dough reaches a smooth consistency, it's ready. Let it rest for 30 minutes or more until the surface becomes smooth.
- 4
Make the pizza sauce. In a pot, combine 1 can of canned tomatoes, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp olive oil, and 1/2 tsp each of dried oregano, basil, and garlic powder. Simmer over low heat until the liquid reduces and evaporates. Let cool.
- 5
Divide the rested dough into 3 portions. Stretch one portion into a circle about 20cm in diameter. Spread pizza sauce and add toppings as desired.
- 6
Top with cheese and bake in a preheated 230°C oven for 10-12 minutes.
- 7
For extra crispy crust, preheat the oven 20 degrees higher than 230°C and preheat the baking sheet together with the oven.
Tips
You can use oils other than olive oil. When mixing the dough, using chopsticks initially is recommended to keep your hands clean. If the room temperature is warm, store the resting dough in the refrigerator. Pizza sauce can be made in larger batches—use half and freeze the rest for later.
