Directions

20 min
  1. 1

Mix together all the ★ ingredients to make the sauce.

  2. 2

Trim 1–1.5 cm off the tough base of each asparagus spear (6 total), then use a peeler to remove the fibrous skin near the bottom.

  3. 3

Cut each asparagus spear into 4 equal pieces. Wrap them in plastic wrap and microwave at 500W for 1 minute, then let cool.

  4. 4

Lay out the 8 slices of pork loin and wrap 3 asparagus pieces in each slice, rolling them up tightly.

  5. 5

Heat 1 tsp of vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Place the pork rolls seam-side down in the pan.

  6. 6

Once browned on the bottom, turn them over and cook all sides thoroughly until fully cooked through.

  7. 7

Pour the sauce from Step 1 over the rolls and cook for 20–30 seconds, tossing to coat evenly. Serve immediately.

Tips

When packing these in a bento box, placing a few cooked pasta noodles underneath will soak up the sauce and make them even more delicious.
