The aroma of garlic is amazing in this garlic butter chicken! The chicken is so juicy, and the rich butter flavor pairs perfectly with rice! ♪

  • ★Garlic1 clove
  • ★Soy sauce1 tbsp
  • ★Sake1 tbsp
  • ★Mirin1 tbsp

    Cut the chicken thigh into bite-sized pieces and season with a pinch of salt and pepper for the base seasoning.

    Finely mince the garlic clove and combine it with 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp sake, 1 tbsp mirin, and a pinch of sugar to make the seasoning sauce.

    Heat 1 tbsp butter in a frying pan over medium heat. Cook the chicken skin-side down for about 5 minutes until golden brown. Press lightly from above for better browning.

    Cook the other side until lightly golden and the chicken is cooked through.

    Add the combined seasoning sauce and simmer over medium-low heat, being careful of splattering. Reduce carefully, stirring gently to avoid scorching.

    Place cabbage (as desired) in a serving dish, top with the garlic butter chicken, and pour the sauce over it. Serve with lemon wedges if desired.

Tips

Avoiding burning is key. After adding the sauce, simmer gently over medium-low heat and stir carefully to prevent scorching.
