    In a bowl, combine all the ● ingredients and mix well to make the sauce.

    Add the ★ sake, salt and pepper, and grated ginger to the 200g shrimp. Mix until the flavors are evenly distributed.

    Lightly coat the marinated shrimp with cornstarch, then shake off any excess.

    Heat 2 tbsp of vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Arrange the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until one side is golden. Flip and cook the other side until crispy and golden.

    Transfer the cooked shrimp to the bowl with the sauce and toss until evenly coated.

    Arrange on a plate, garnish with 2-3 lettuce leaves, and serve.

Tips

The key is to coat the shrimp lightly with cornstarch so it sticks just enough. When pan-frying, oil may splatter, so be careful with the heat. For safety, you can use a lid or splatter guard if needed.
