Shrimp and Broccoli with Sweet and Spicy Mayo (Ebi Mayo)

Plump shrimp with broccoli coated in a delicious sweet and spicy mayo sauce! Perfect for bento boxes or as a snack!

  • ★Mayonnaise4 tbsp
  • ★Ketchup2 tbsp
  • ★Honey1 tbsp
  • ★Lemon juice2 tsp

    Mix together 4 tbsp mayonnaise, 2 tbsp ketchup, 1 tbsp honey, and 2 tsp lemon juice in a bowl. Boil 1 head of broccoli until tender, then drain well.

    Peel the shells off 20 shrimp, remove the veins, and make a small cut along the back to straighten them.

    Rub the shrimp gently with potato starch and salt, then rinse thoroughly under running water.

    Pat the shrimp dry, place them in a bag with 2 tbsp potato starch, and shake well to coat evenly.

    Heat plenty of oil in a frying pan and cook the shrimp on both sides until golden brown.

    Once the shrimp are cooked through, wipe away excess oil with paper towels.

    Add the blanched broccoli to the pan, stir-fry lightly, then add the ★ seasonings and toss everything together until well coated. Done!

Tips

You can substitute honey with sugar and still get delicious results.
