Fragrant Takana and Egg Fried Rice

  • Cooked rice400g
  • Takana (mustard greens)80g
  • Egg1
  • Green onion (negi)1/2
  • ★Sesame oil (for stir-frying)1 tbsp
  • ★Soy sauce1 tsp
  • ★Dashi powder (Japanese soup stock)1 tsp
  • ★Salt and black peppera pinch
  • ★Soy sauce1 dash
  • ★Sesame oil1 tsp

    Beat 1 egg well and mince 1/2 green onion.

    Heat 1 tbsp sesame oil in a frying pan and lightly stir-fry the green onion.

    Add 80g takana and continue stir-frying.

    Push ingredients to the side, scramble the egg on the other side, then mix everything together.

    Add 400g warm cooked rice and stir-fry everything together well.

    Add the ★ seasonings (1 tsp soy sauce, 1 tsp dashi powder, a pinch of salt and black pepper) and mix until the flavors are evenly distributed.

    Finish by adding 1 tsp sesame oil and 1 dash of soy sauce, stir-frying until fragrant.

    Transfer the finished fried rice to a serving bowl.

Tips

The sesame oil added at the end brings out the aroma and flavor beautifully.
