Sweet New Onion Rice

This simple rice dish is cooked with fresh spring onions, consommé, and olive oil — it's so easy and the natural sweetness is totally addictive! ♪

  • ★Consommé cube1 cube (or 2 tsp granules)
  • ★Olive oila pinch

    Peel 2 new onions and slice them thinly.

    Place 2 合 of rice in a rice cooker and add enough water to fully cover the rice (about 200–240ml).

    Add the sliced onions from step 1 and the ★ seasonings, then mix well.

    Cook the rice on the standard setting.

    Once done, gently fluff and mix everything together. Serve and enjoy!

Tips

Adjust the amount of water depending on how much moisture the new onions release. If using brown rice or mixed grain rice, use the water ratio recommended for sushi rice as a guide for best results.
