Directions

20 min
  1. 1

Season the 3 cod fillets with a pinch of salt and black pepper. Pat dry thoroughly with paper towels, then coat evenly with all-purpose flour or cornstarch.

  2. 2

Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Place the cod fillets skin-side down and pan-fry.

  3. 3

Once the cod is golden brown on both sides, add ★15g butter and ★soy sauce to taste. Let the aromatic flavors develop.

  4. 4

Transfer the cooked cod to a serving plate. In the same skillet, sauté 1 bunch of spinach and arrange it alongside the cod.

  5. 5

Sprinkle a pinch of black pepper on top and add a lemon slice if desired. Serve immediately.

  6. 6

Include the red roots of the spinach when washing, as they increase nutritional value.

  7. 7

Without washing the pan, sauté the spinach in the cod drippings to enhance the flavors.

Tips

Pat the cod dry thoroughly with paper towels to help the flour coating stick properly and prevent the fish from falling apart. Cook over low heat for a crispy exterior and fluffy interior. Feel free to substitute the spinach with your preferred vegetables.
