Ingredients
2 servings- Frozen taro root250-300g

Heat a frying pan over medium heat without oil. Add 150g of ground meat and stir-fry until the color changes. Turn off the heat.

Add 250-300g of frozen taro root and enough water to just cover. Add all the ★ seasonings: 2 tbsp sugar, 1 tsp dashi stock powder, 3 tbsp soy sauce, and 2 tbsp mirin.

Place a drop lid on the pan and simmer over medium heat until the taro root is tender and flavors are well blended. Remove any scum that rises to the surface.

Turn off the heat and add potato starch dissolved in water to taste. Stir to thicken the sauce and serve.
Tips
You can use beef, pork, or a mixture of ground meats. Fresh taro root works just as well as frozen. Be careful when adding the taro root as hot oil may splatter.
