Directions

60 min
  1. 1

Prepare an illustration of the character you want to draw, place a sheet of parchment paper on top, and secure it in one spot with a staple.

  2. 2

Melt the dark chocolate or milk chocolate using a double boiler, then pour it into a cornet bag made from glassine paper or parchment paper and trace the black outlines. Cutting the tip very finely to make a small hole will allow you to draw fine details. Once done, refrigerate to set.

  3. 3

Add color to small details such as the eyes and nose (white) or the bell (yellow) using white chocolate or a yellow chocolate pen. If the chocolate is too warm, it may melt the surrounding areas, so warm the chocolate pens in hot water just before use. Refrigerate again to set.

  4. 4

Fill in the body areas using the blue chocolate pen, then refrigerate to set.

  5. 5

Fill in the remaining areas with white chocolate. For larger areas, you can pour it in with a spoon. Refrigerate to set.

  6. 6

Apply additional layers of chocolate over the entire surface to build up thickness. Feel free to add any leftover chocolate on top.

  7. 7

Once fully chilled and set, flip it over and peel off the parchment paper to finish. Please note that the finished design will be a mirror image of your original illustration.

  8. 8

[How to Make a Cornet Bag] Prepare a sheet of glassine paper (approximately 25cm × 20cm) and cut it diagonally with scissors.

  9. 9

Hold the bottom with your left hand and the top with your right hand, then roll it up using your left hand as the center point.

  10. 10

Once rolled, fold the protruding edges inward to complete the cornet bag.

Tips

Since chocolate comes in many colors and flavors commercially, you can customize freely. Drawing the character's outlines clearly will make the finished result stand out beautifully.
