Aromatic Stir-Fried Udon (Yakiudon)

The aroma of sesame oil and soy sauce is irresistible in this yakiudon! Simple with pork and cabbage, but so delicious! ♪

  • Cabbage2-3 leaves
  • Cooked udon noodles1 portion
  • Bonito flakesto taste
  • Mayonnaiseto taste
  • Shichimi togarashi (seven-spice chili powder)to taste
  • ★Vegetable oila pinch
  • ★Soy sauce1 tsp
  • ★Oyster sauce1 tsp
  • ★Sesame oil1 tsp
  • ★Salt and peppera pinch

    Heat a little vegetable oil in a frying pan and add 50g of pork and 2-3 leaves of cabbage (roughly chopped). Stir-fry until cooked.

    Warm the udon noodles beforehand in a microwave, then add to the pan once the pork is cooked. Stir everything together well.

    Add the ★ seasonings and drizzle with 1 tsp of sesame oil for aroma. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

    Transfer to a serving dish and top with bonito flakes. Add mayonnaise or shichimi togarashi to taste if desired.

Tips

Stir-fry the cabbage over high heat to keep it crispy. You can also add your favorite vegetables for delicious variations.
