Fluffy & Golden Homemade Naan

Paddy

You can make this simple naan right in a frying pan — no oil needed! It comes out so soft, chewy, and fluffy, I'm totally obsessed ♪

Ingredients

6 servings
  • Bread flour250g
  • Yeast4g
  • Sugar10g
  • Salt2g
  • Water150cc
Allergens
wheat

Directions

90 min
  1. 1

Place 250g bread flour, 4g yeast, 10g sugar, 2g salt, and 150cc water into a bread machine and run it through the first proofing cycle. (If kneading by hand, knead the dough thoroughly and allow it to proof until doubled in size.)

  2. 2

Punch down the proofed dough to release the gas, then divide it into 6 equal portions and shape each into a ball. Let them rest for 15 minutes (bench time), then roll each piece out into a thin teardrop shape.

  3. 3

Heat a non-stick (Teflon-coated) frying pan over medium heat. Cook the naan without any oil until both sides are nicely golden brown. Serve and enjoy!

Tips

There is no second proofing required, so this recipe comes together quickly. Since no oil is used during cooking, a non-stick (Teflon-coated) frying pan is strongly recommended.
