Decadent Melting Chocolate Cake

Rich and luscious chocolate terrine that chocolate lovers will adore! When warmed, it transforms into a fondant chocolate style treat. ♡

  • Dark chocolate bar4 pieces (200g)
  • Unsalted butter100g
  • Granulated sugar30g

    Line a pound cake pan with parchment paper and preheat the oven to 180℃. Prepare hot water for a water bath.

    Place 4 pieces (200g) of dark chocolate and 100g unsalted butter in a bowl. Melt them together in a water bath while stirring with a rubber spatula.

    Add 30g granulated sugar to the melted chocolate-butter mixture and mix well with a whisk.

    Add 3 eggs in three portions, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Mix gently until the batter becomes glossy and smooth.

    Add 70g heavy cream and mix again until the batter is smooth and well combined.

    Pour the batter into the prepared pan and place it in a baking pan. Fill the baking pan with hot water and bake at 180℃ for 15-20 minutes.

    Adjust baking time according to your oven.

    Allow to cool slightly, then refrigerate thoroughly until fully set.

    When removing from the pan, use a warm knife to cut for clean slices.

    Heat in a 600W microwave for 25 seconds to achieve a fondant chocolate style finish.

    If it doesn't set properly, adjust the baking time accordingly.
