Napa Cabbage Quick Pickles (Asazuke) - Refreshing Style

This napa cabbage quick pickle is made with dashi broth! It's lightly sweet, refreshingly tangy, and so easy to make. Perfect for a quick side dish! ♪

  • Napa cabbage1/8 head
  • ★Salt1 tsp
  • ★Sugar1 tsp
  • ★Dashi broth powder1/2 tbsp
  • ★Red chili pepper1/3 to taste, thinly sliced

    Prepare the napa cabbage by cutting 1/8 head into rough chunks about 2-3cm wide.

    Place the cabbage and all the ★ seasonings into a plastic bag, seal it tightly, and shake well until the flavors are evenly distributed.

    Flatten the contents in the bag and press out all the air, then refrigerate for 2-3 hours.

    Open the bag and gently massage the contents once more to blend the flavors, then serve.

Tips

Adjust the amount of salt and sugar to your preference.
