Ingredients
4 servings- Cooked rice600g
- ★Soy sauce2 tbsp
- ★Dashi stock powder1 tsp
- ★Mirin1 tsp
- ★Sesame oil1-2 tsp

Add 2 tbsp ★soy sauce, 1 tsp ★dashi stock powder, 1 tsp ★mirin, and 1-2 tsp ★sesame oil to a bowl and mix well.

Add approximately 600g of cooked rice to the bowl and mix thoroughly until evenly combined. You can taste-test at this point.

Take the seasoned rice in your hands and form it into rice balls by pressing firmly. Packing them tightly helps prevent them from falling apart during cooking.

Heat a frying pan and arrange the rice balls on it. Cook until both sides are golden brown. The sesame oil prevents the rice balls from sticking to the pan.

Once both sides are nicely browned, they're done. For extra aroma and durability, you can also cook the sides. This also makes them great for freezing or packing in bento boxes.

If using chilled or frozen rice, thaw or reheat it before cooking.
