Ingredients
4 servings- Pancake mix200g
- Eggs2
- Milk4 tbsp
- ★Honey (Not for infants under 1 year old!)4 tbsp
- ★Mirin3 tbsp
- ★Sugar1 tbsp
- ★Vegetable oil1 tbsp
Directions
20 min- 1
In a bowl, combine 200g pancake mix, 2 eggs, and 4 tbsp milk. Add the ★ seasonings and mix well. (You can also use rice flour for a delicious result.) ※Do not serve to infants under 1 year old due to honey content.
- 2
Heat the takoyaki pan and pour batter into each hole until about half full or slightly less. ※Be careful as it burns easily.
- 3
When the batter starts to puff up, push two adjacent balls together. ※Work quickly as it burns easily.
- 4
Remove when cooked. Serve warm, or let cool completely, then place in a bag for 5-6 hours without drying out—this allows the flavors to blend for even better taste.
- 5
You can also finish them dorayaki-style for delicious results.
- 6
Freezing is also possible. When ready to eat, reheat in a microwave for a few seconds or in a toaster oven for 1-2 minutes for a crispy outside and fluffy inside, just like freshly baked.
- 7
Try filling them with jam or chocolate for extra enjoyment.
Tips
If you prefer less sweetness, you can omit the sugar and still have delicious results.
